Pricing

Dry van dispatch fee calculator
Put in a week's gross for your operation and how many trucks you run. The rate switches automatically at the fleet threshold.
Example defaults. Replace them with your numbers.
How this is calculated
fee = weekly gross x 6%
you keep = weekly gross - fee
per truck = totals / 1
Rate is 6% for one truck and 5% from 2 trucks. Fuel, insurance and your other costs are not included.
The fee on a real-looking load
The fee comes off the load's gross, the same total that's on the rate confirmation. Here's a full truckload and a partial so you can see it scale with the pay. Both are EXAMPLE loads.

12 pallets, 14,000 lb, about 24 linear feet
Two partials heading the same way can share the trailer. Each one carries its own fee, figured on its own pay. Whether these rates per mile are good depends on the lane and the month; our guide to dry van rates shows where current rate data comes from.
Percentage or flat fee
Some dispatchers bill a flat amount per week instead of a percentage. Say one charges $300 a week (an EXAMPLE figure, not a quote from anyone). At 6%, you'd pay the same at $5,000 of weekly gross.
Above that, the flat fee costs less. Below it, the percentage does. And in a week the truck sits in the shop or you take home time, the flat fee usually still bills while ours is zero. Run your typical week, your slow week and your best week through the calculator above before you decide.
What the fee covers
Brokers will ask for your certificate of insurance before the first load. If you're not sure your coverage meets what they want, read what dry van insurance brokers ask for.
Fleet rate (limited-time)
Run 2 or more dry vans with us and the rate on every truck's loads drops to 5% of gross. It's a limited-time rate, so if you're adding a second truck, ask about it on your call.
Fleets also get coordinated lanes so two of your trucks aren't chasing the same freight, one point of contact, and a weekly report broken out per truck.

The signed dispatch agreement has the full terms. We're a dispatch service working for you, not a broker, so we never sit between you and the rate the broker pays. We work with tractors pulling the carrier's own dry van; if you're unsure your trailer counts, see what a dry van is.
Pricing questions
Most dispatch services charge either a percentage of each load's gross or a flat weekly fee, so compare them on the same week of loads. Ours is 6% of gross with one truck and 5% for 2+ trucks (limited-time), charged only on loads you haul, with no setup fee or minimum.
No. The fee is tied to loads hauled. A week in the shop or at home costs you nothing in dispatch fees.
It applies to every truck we dispatch for you once you're running 2 or more. Each truck's loads are figured at 5% of their gross.
Because it ties our pay to yours. When we negotiate a better rate, we both earn more. When the market is slow, your dispatch cost drops with your gross instead of staying fixed.
No separate charge. Carrier packets, broker calls, check calls and chasing detention, layover and TONU are all part of the dispatch work. The percentage is figured on the full rate confirmation total, so any detention or TONU the broker pays counts toward the gross. To see how a load pays after fuel and the fee, use the load profit calculator.
After you get paid for the load, whether that's the broker paying you directly or your factoring company advancing it. You send the fee to us by ACH. You never pay us out of pocket before the load money arrives.
